Attention Cockpit Builders: New Pre-Built HUD

 

If you are struggling with making a working HUD for your sim pit this company has the product for you.

 

HEADSUPVIEW has started making plug and play HUDs for flight simulators.  

In particular they work with DCS and provide the edited lua files for the data export.

They currently support the FA-18C, F-14B and VNAO's T-45C.  

 

They plan to provide files for the just released F-15E and other modules as they become available.

Improved AI BFM

 

In the most recent Official News Release available here, ED has indicated they are working on improved BFM techniques for AI aircraft.

 

Quoted from the Newsletter article:

"Based on how the fight develops, the AI may switch between one-circle and two-circle according to merge angle and relative airspeed. This provides a much more dynamic opponent." 

Similar development will be done with WW2 aircraft but they use a different toolbox so they will have a unique set of improvements.

 

 This should improve AI dogfights in both BFM and ACM engagements as experienced in our campaigns:

 

 

 

We are looking forward to these changes as ED works to make the AI more realistic and react more like a human.
