We have had a very busy time since our last blog post.
What have we been doing?
1. We updated all the voice overs in the A-10C Advanced Aircraft Training Qualification Campaign (AAT) with professional recordings. The missions were all retested and the package has been given to ED for their review and release. We can't say exactly when it will be available in the ED store but we believe the voice overs take the campaign to the next level. Many thanks to Grayson Frohberg for doing a great job!
2. We are doing the same thing for the A-10C Tactical Training Qualification Campaign and we hope to update the already released A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification Campaign at some future point as well. The professional voice overs really make a difference in our opinion.
3. You probably noticed in the DCS Newsletter today the following line:
"Extended Campaign for the F-5E by Maple Flags Missions Developer (not included in the module package)".
We were contacted in May to do a campaign for the F-5E. It has been in development ever since. It is an NTTR based campaign and very much in keeping with the teaser video (see below). Release date is TBD and everything is subject to change.

4. Lastly we recently updated to the Oculus Rift and what an experience that has been. If you have not had a chance to try it out, it really is a game changer. The sense of immersion is remarkable and though the graphics resolution is not on par with 4K TVs you lose yourself in the immersion so quickly it's a very easy trade-off.
Lots of good stuff coming to DCS and we have lots of campaigns in development. We look forward to the 2.5 release when the Alpha and Beta's combine into a single instance.
Happy flying!
could someone point me in the right direction to get maple flag missions to work in dcs world. I have downloaded A-10a basic flight training qualification but when i open dcs world I cannot find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteSome of the earlier campaigns are no longer for sale as they are migrating to the ED Storefront.
DeleteThe files are still available from the User Files section for use by those customer who purchased it at that time.
The A-10C Basic Flight Training Campaign is currently available from the ED Store: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/a-10c_bft_campaign/
All the campaigns are being updated with professional voice overs for release on the ED Storefront.
We can't say when the A-10A campaign will be available as the release schedule is up to ED.
Any updates on the F-5E campaigns
ReplyDeleteThe campaign is coming along very well.
ReplyDeleteDocumentation is completed, voice overs are completed and we are in final testing before releasing to ED.
Teaser video still needs to be created.
The actual release date is up to ED to decide but we are getting closer. Thanks for asking.
