F-15C Aggressors BFM Campaign Available on Steam!

We are pleased to announce that ED have released our F-15C Aggressors BFM Campaign on STEAM!

The F-15C Aggressors BFM campaign puts you in the cockpit of an F-15C Eagle as a new Aggressor pilot with the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base.

Based on real world procedures, you will fly as "Red Air" against "Blue Air" forces. Upon arrival you will fly a familiarization flight around the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). Then you will face a series of challenging Basic Fighter Maneuver (BFM) missions against similar and dis-similar aircraft.

Your opponents include the F-4E, F-14A, F-15C, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, M-2000C, MiG-29G, CF-188 and MiG-21.

Additionally, there are 10 single player practice missions with in-air starts so you can perfect your BFM tactics, techniques and procedures.

There are over 1,000 voice-overs and over 45 pages of briefing material including the F-15C Amplified Checklist, RED FLAG Spins, Red Forces In Flight Guide, Maps, Diagrams, Custom Kneeboards and Mission Data cards.

VFA-113 Stingers LSO Training Video

Our CO JAR has done a great job putting together an LSO Training video that complements the Plat Cam MOD released earlier.  Well worth viewing if you want to learn how the Stinger's do LSO.

We hope to see many PLAT Cam videos from different squads soon.

 Charly_Owl on the DCS Forums is famous for his excellent guides.  He has recently released an FA-18C Guide.  Here is the TOC:

Recently on the forums we stumbled upon some very excellent training guides done by Charly_Owl.  

His guides have excellent explanations and good graphics which make learning the various aircraft and helicopters in DCS much easier.  

If you want to print them best to take them to a print shop as there are many graphics to use up your ink!  Using them from a tablet would be a better option.

FA-18C VFA-113 First Carrier Landings and PLAT Cam Mod

With the release of the FA-18C Hornet our squad has posted our first carrier landing attempts.  

This new module is much better than our previous mod but our landings are not! I'm sure with practice we will get much better.  Enjoy!

Our CO JAR has also done a great job on his PLAT Cam Mod and has decided to release it to the public so you and your squads can make videos similar to his.

Here is his video with the details of how to set it up and use it.

We hope to see many PLAT Cam videos from different squads soon.

This new campaign is set in the Nevada map flying the F-15C out of Nellis Air Force Base.  It's very similar to the F-5E Aggressors BFM Campaign but updated for the F-15C.

With the DCS Hornet coming out soon (end of spring hopefully) we wanted to give a shout out to JAR - the CO of VFA-113 Stingers.  

He is the man behind all the excellent plat cam videos seen on his YouTube channel:

JAR has been involved in Virtual Navy Ops for many years and was part of the original VNAO (Virtual Naval Air Operations) team as well.

If you are interested in the Hornet and learning how to land according to NATOPS regs then his videos are worth checking out.  

Please don't be too critical of that Sabre guy though - he is trying his best!

Virtual Naval Air Operations

Just wanted to give a shout out to one of our squadmates MAX who is restarting the Virtual Naval Air Operations squads for DCS Multiplayer.

You can read more about it in this forum post!

Max is a great guy and was instrumental in running VNAO many years ago.  

Now with DCS planning to release the F/A-18C Hornet and an F-14A/B (A+) Tomcat plus new maps the future looks very good for virtual Naval Operations in DCS.

If you are looking for a multiplayer squad to join you won't do better than the VNAO!

DCS World 2.5 OpenBeta Released - Changed A-10C BFT Campaign Structure

With the release of 2.5 we took the opportunity to update the BFT Campaign structure to match the other campaigns we have in the series.

Only the Qualification missions are in the Campaign now. The practice missions are no longer part of the campaign order (but are still included in the campaign package).

To play the practice missions you can open them in the Mission Editor and using the file browser select the path where the campaign is stored:

<your drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\campaigns\A-10C - Basic Flight Training Qualification

This is based on user feedback that indicated the majority preferred the campaign to just contain the qualification missions.

We recommend you restart the campaign (to see the new beautiful Caucasus map) but if you want to maintain your current status you can manually update your logbook using the instructions in this forum post.
